‘SINGAPORE BRIDGES’
Bridges are perhaps the most romantic architectural forms by virtue of their beautiful role in drawing people closer. While waterways give sustenance to life, bridges invite lives to link up and prosper together socially and economically. Through this design, we celebrate the charm of both heritage and contemporary Singapore bridges, which are footprints of our progress. These bridges also symbolise how people and ideas come together in crafting this city to be a welcoming meeting place for cultures and communities. Whether we admire these bridges as engineering feats, brilliant transportation aides, or simply alluring aquatic platforms for sunset gazing, they will always remain as leitmotif of a cityscape shaped to connect people and people.
The nine bridges in this pattern are Cavenagh, Anderson, Alkaff, Coleman, Elgin, Read, Ord, Lorong Halus Red and The Esplanade.
