Nyonya portrait is a modern interpretation of early photos of Singapore Peranakans. A symbol of status, the affluent Peranakans were among the first to pay for their photos taken in elaborate costumes and jewellery. A collaboration with local artist, Martin Loh, the pattern is framed by scissor blades highlighting the rich and colourful textile design and art in Peranakan kebaya.
