Ikat textile charms many far and wide with the dyeing technique originated from Indonesia. My first piece of Ikat came from a holiday trip to Bali, for few years it was hung above my bed for decoration. The inspiration for this pattern came from the stems of ginger plants found in Botanic Garden that resembled my ikat fabric.
